Company Overview Cellular Systems (Private) Limited was formed in February 1996 to develop communications technology, initially with the distribution of cellular telephones, related accessories, the selling of airtime on behalf of two of the major cellular network operators in Zimbabwe.Cellular Systems (Private) Limited changed its name to Celsys Limited “Celsys” in November 2001 and was listed on the ZSE, (Zimbabwe Stock Exchange) in April, 2003. The Company trades through 4 operating Divisions, being Celsys Comms, Celsys Print, Celsys IT (Hardware) and Celsys IT (Software) and is managed by a small Head Office team. Celsys Comms is one of the countries largest mobile airtime VADs, through its mobile payphone operations and it’s innovative, value added scratch card distribution model. The division also retails mobile handsets, focusing on the high end smart phone market and develops and supports websites and electronic communications. Celsys Print is Zimbabwe’s largest independent security printer, producing the majority of the country’s cheque books, security documents and scratch cards and is the only security printer approved by the bankers Associations of both Zimbabwe and Zambia.. The Division is also an increasingly dominant player in the general commercial printing sector. Celsys IT (Hardware) supplies and supports, owns and operates a large network of ATMs and POS devices, in conjunction with banks and other financial institutions and is a Diebold Self Service Solution distributor in Zimbabwe and Zambia. Celsys IT (Software) is a regional distributor of Sophos Security Systems, incorporating anti-virus, anti spam, web filtering, access control and encryption technologies.
